Basic Cardiac Check Up Plan
(Venous Blood Tests)

Basic Cardiac Check-Up is the basic cardiovascular examinations including blood cholesterol and glucose levels. The test takes about 30 minutes. Based on the clinical information, the doctors will then calculate the individual risk of developing cardiovascular disease using ASCVD risk index recommended by the American Heart Association.

Basic Cardiac Check Up including:

1. Fasting Blood Suger (FBS)

2. Total Cholesterol (TOTAL CHOL)

3. High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL CHOL)

4. Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL CHOL)

5. Triglyceride (TRIG)

6. Resting ECG

7. ASCVD risk assessment

8. Screening of Atrial Fibrillation (commonest abnormal heart rhythm)

9. Complementary report explanation and advice about healthy lifestyle management by senior nurse

Approach:

Items 1 – 5 are blood tests, which can be collected by either one

  • Venous Blood Tests

Note:

1. Try to keep in calm and still to faciliate optimal recordings of ECG;

2. Do not take the heavy spirits, food and tobacco 1 hour before the test;

3. Do not exercise before the test
