Dr.Lawrence Hung is a Gastroenterologist and was admitted to the Prince Philip Scholarship to study medicine at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. After graduation, he interned at Cambridge Medical School and subsequently returned to the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Prince of Wales Hospital, where he joined the Department of Internal Medicine.
Dr.Hung’s mentor was the previous Vice-Chancellor and President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Joseph Sung Jao-yiu SBS JP. Under Professor Sung’s guidance, Dr. Hung completed his specialist training in gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Hung actively participated in a number of medical studies during his professional development and published many research papers in various medical journals include The New England Journal of Medicine. In 2005, Dr. Hung was appointed as a consultant physician at St. Teresa’s Hospital in Hong Kong, responsible for providing medical guidance and professional advice.
Subsequently, Dr. Hung started his private practice in 2012 and joined Centre Medical Group to continue provide medical services to patients. In addition, he serves as a consultant physician at Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital, providing professional advice and guidance to the hospital.
